We know it's been a tough year, and we truly miss singing for you during our live concerts — but that's what makes GivingTuesday so special! It's a time for a little joy and an opportunity to show your support for what we do have, even now. We’re thrilled to join thousands of organizations across the globe participating in the largest giving day of the year.
The Manchester Choral Society has set a goal to raise $5,000 in just 24 hours! Will you help us get there?
This pandemic has not kept us from singing and making music.
We are excited to bring to you our first ever Virtual Choir Project & Video performance! As a donor, you'll be the first to see the finished product! But, in order for us to get there, we need your help to fund this project.
What goes into a Virtual Choir Project? Adapting to a virtual environment was a big investment! MCS had to purchase filming, audio, and recording equipment to live stream rehearsals between face-to-face singers and at-home singers. (Don't worry, if you follow us on Facebook you can see that we followed all the guidelines, wore masks and limited our singing time to 1 hour!). Next up, we have to take all those recordings and piece them together with the help of some talented videographers. We can't wait to see the final product!
Sounds exciting, right? But without our normal revenue streams we need YOUR help to bring you this exciting culmination of our hard work. Additionally, the impact of your donations will allow MCS to continue to operate successfully through this challenging season.
Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for people around the world to stand together in unity - to use their individual power of generosity and charitable donations to remain connected and heal. If anything can pull us out of this pandemic, it's going to be music. Will you stand with us and support Manchester Choral Society?
